What we are not
Legal 2.0 is a legal management consultancy firm – it is not a law firm. Whilst its members are all qualified lawyers with an abundance of experience, Legal 2.0 does not work or bill as a law firm. We work with you to understand your commercial needs and to take a pro-active stance on matters as opposed to a reactive position. We act as your virtual in-house counsel without physically being in your offices. We aim to understand every part of your business and the people who form it. We will work with you so that you can achieve your business goals in a practical and legal manner.
As with in-house counsel, there may be certain occasions where we require a law firm and their expertise on a specific matter and on these occasions, we will instruct and manage law firms for you. Legal 2.0 differs from a law firm as we endeavour to see the potential problems at the source instead of reacting when a problem arises.
Some believe that such a pro-active service can be more costly than merely instructing a law firm when an issue arises. On the contrary, we do not charge by the hour, by the minute or by the second; instead we charge a monthly fixed retainer regardless of how little or how much you use us. We look less at the time spent, more at the long term value you see our service providing to you.
By using Legal 2.0, you obtain practical business support that you would normally approach lawyers for. Since we do not charge by the hour, the more you involve us in your business the better the value to you. And the more you involve us in your business, the better the service we can provide to you. We benefit because we know your business intimately and therefore are able to understand your core principles and long term goals.
